Criminal Arrests in New Orleans

NOPD’S Special Operations Division Task Force Unit Booked 18 Suspects Last week

  

New Orleans- In one week’s time the Special Operations Division (S.O.D) Task Force Unit investigated 103 complaints, yielding 18 arrests for 11 Felonies, 10 Misdemeanors and 3 Municipal violations.  Officers conducted 39 vehicle stops and made two Traffic arrests. The unit made three Narcotic cases conducted 15 wanted checks and 93 pedestrian contacts. They wrote 18 reports, and confiscated 259.27 grams of Marijuana.

Officers Nathaniel Joseph and Charles stamp conducted a traffic stop at
Washington Avenue and South Lopez Street and observed a plastic bag containing Marijuana partially concealed between the driver’s seat and the center console.  The driver, identified as 37-year-old Antonio Verrett, was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Marijuana.  Verrett had prior arrest for Possession of Marijuana, Traffic arrests, Concealed weapon and pled guilty to Illegal use of a Firearm.
