Stabbing in New Orleans

On January 6, 2011 at approximately 12:20pm officers responded to an aggravated battery by cutting in the 1600 Block of North Villere.
Upon arrival detectives met with the victim, who was standing, and alert, but complaining of pain on the left side of her face, where she stated she was stabbed. EMS arrived and treated the victim on scene as she refused hospitalization.
Detectives observed a wound to the front of the victims left ear consistent with that of a stab wound caused by a small pocket knife.
The victim stated she was getting clothes together for her husband who was hospitalized. Shortly after 12:15pm , her sister-in-law, Rose Richardson B/F 4/11/53 arrived in the block accompanied by her nephew. Rose knocked on the victim's door asking for the clothes. The victim advised the clothes were not ready at which time she became irate. Attempting to avoid confrontation, the victim closed her front door and remained inside.
While inside, she heard a crash and went to the front where she noticed that her window AC unit had been pushed inward. The victim heard a crash as her front door was kicked in and Ms. Richardson entered the house, still arguing loudly. The argument progressed into the second room of the residence where Ms. Richardson produced what the victim described as a rusty pocket knife. Ms. Richardson stabbed the victim in the face with the knife. Rose Richardson fled the scene and the police were notified.
The victim stated there has been hostility between herself and the perpetrator, and stated that her boyfriend's family has never liked her. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Rose Richardson, charging her with aggravated battery and criminal damage.
